General Event Information

1. What is the date, time, and location of the festival?
   •June 14th, 10am-2pm at 787 Shawmut Ave, New Bedford, MA
    

2. Is the festival suitable for all ages?
   •Yes! This festival is suitable for all ages!
    

3. Will the event be held rain or shine?
   •Our rain date is currently scheduled for June 29th
    

4. What should my child wear? Is dressing up encouraged?
   •Dressing up your little one in their fairytale best is our recommendation! 
    

5. Is there an admission fee, and do tickets need to be purchased in advance?
   •Admission to Fairytale Fest is free! However, take a look at our upgrade packages to really get involved in the fun! 

Activities & Entertainment

1. What kind of entertainment and activities will be available?
   •Face painting, live character performances, music, children activities, bubble fun, baby dinosaurs, local vendors, the chance to explore the beautiful gardens, photo ops, character meet & greet and so much more! 
    

2. Will there be live performances or scheduled shows?
   •Yes! Schedule with the performances will be released closer to the date and posted on social media! So keep an eye out in late May! 
    

3. Are there character meet-and-greet opportunities?
   •Yes, there will some roaming characters however, in order to meet certain characters check out our VIP packages to upgrade your experience at Fairytale Fest! 
    

4. Will there be hands-on activities or craft stations?
   •Yes, there will be hands-on activities such as sidewalk chalk and our friends at the Trustees Mobile Adventure will be there providing even more fun! 
    

5. Is there a schedule of events available?
   •Yes! We will release a schedule of events plus a visual map of the gardens with vendor locations posted on social media and here closer to the event date! So keep an eye out in late May! 

Food & Beverages

1. Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
   •Yes, we will have local food vendors selling food and snacks for purchase
    

2. Can we bring our own food and drinks?
   •Yes, yes! Bring a picnic blanket too! We encourage all families to sit back and relax on the lawn and soak in the sun and fun! 
    

3. Are there allergy-friendly or special dietary options?
   •Check out our list of food vendors and see what they have options. 
    

4. Is there a picnic area for families?
   •Yes! Feel free to picnic near the staging area and enjoy our musical acts! Don't forget to bring your blankets! 

Safety & Accessibility

1. Is the festival stroller-friendly?
   •Please be aware as most of the grounds are on grass with limited paved roads. 
    

2. Are there restrooms at the gardens?
   •Yes, there are restrooms located in the Gardens with plumbing. 
    

3. What safety measures are in place for lost children?
   •In the event of lost little ones, please find a staff member that are equipped to search the grounds for any lost children. 
    

4. Are there medical or first aid stations on-site?
   •Should you need any sort of medical help please seek out our medical tent. 
    

5. Is the event accessible for individuals with disabilities?
   •Please be aware as most of the grounds are on grass with limited paved roads. There are some parts of the garden that requires climbing up and down a few set of stairs. Although the majority of Fairytale Fest will take place on the lawn that is accessible. 

Vendors & Shopping

1. What kinds of vendors will be there?
   •Our vendors have been hand selected to avoid duplicates and to stay on theme with our events! Anything fun and whimsical!
    

2. Do vendors accept cash, credit cards, or mobile payments?
   •Different vendors accept all different forms of entertainment. Make sure to have most on you! 
    

3. Are there ATMs available on-site?
   •We do not have ATMs available on-site. 
    

4. Will there be souvenirs or merchandise for sale?
   •Yes, check out the Fairytale Fest table for souvenirs and merchandise!

Parking & Transportation

1. Is parking available, and is there a fee?
   •There is no designated parking area, but on-street parking is available. 
   From Rt. 24 South, take Exit 12 for Rt. 140 South toward New Bedford. Follow for 17 mi. At Exit 3 for Hathaway Rd., take the ramp right. Turn left on Hathaway Rd., then, after 0.4 mi., turn right onto Shawmut Ave. The park is on your right.
    

2. Is public transportation available to the Gardens?
   •The closet stop is SRTA bus' route of 206 between Shawmut Ave & Potter Street and the Gardens is about a 6 minute walk from the Bus stop. You can find bus schedules here
    

3. Is there a designated drop-off area for ride shares?
   •Please use the Shawmut Ave as the address for any ride shares. 
    

4. Will there be a shuttle service to and from the event?
   •Fairytale Fest will not providing any shuttles to or from the event. 

Additional Information

1. Are pets allowed at the festival?
   •No dogs or other pets are allowed on the property.
    

2. Can I volunteer or become a vendor?
   •Yes! Please fill out THIS form for volunteer. And for vendor application please fill out HERE.

   •Keep your eyes on both our Facebook and Instagram page to stay updated about Fairytale Fest!
